The RPL_MYINFO (004) numeric is part of the initial registration burst when new users successfully connect to the network. It gives users the date and time the server was started.

:server 004 <nick> <servername> <version> <available umodes> <available cmodes> [<cmodes with param>]
  • <nick>: Nickname of the connecting user.
  • <servername>: Hostname of the server the user’s connected to.
  • <version>: Server version string
  • <available umodes>: List of available user modes.
  • <available cmodes>: List of available channel modes.
  • <cmodes with param>: List of channel modes that take a parameter.

The <version> string is similar to the one used for RPL_CREATED (003), but it MUST NOT contain any spaces.

The <available ...> parameters list the user and channel modes which clients can set. However, users SHOULD discover available features using the appropriate RPL_ISUPPORT parameters rather than using the parameters of this numeric.

The <cmodes with param> parameter lists the channel modes that accept parameters. For example, this parameter may include the modes: b (ban), k (key), and o (chanop), among others.
