The RPL_ENDOFMOTD (376) numeric is part of the Message of the Day (MOTD) reply, and is also sent during the initial registration burst when new users successfully connect to the network. It introduces the MOTD, and the following RPL_MOTD line(s).


:server 376 <nick> :End of /MOTD command
  • <nick>: Nickname of the connecting user.

The final parameter’s text is human-readable and may vary, but the typical message is the one shown above.
